Well, in a random act of boredom I decided to color something old. So I chose none other than my featured deviation "Wolf".
I am completely aware that the boy does not look Native American at all, but I do not care. At all.
This did not take very long at all, which shouldn't be too surprising seeing s the background is bleak and gloomy. I always had a snowscape in mind, even when I was forst sketching this out. If I could go back and stop myself from doing one thing during the inking process, though, it would be the cross hatching. Looks great in the lineart, but eeeuugh in the colored version. All attempts at removing turned to crap, too.
I need to work on coloring fur.
done in easy paint tool SAI estimated time taken: ~2 hours
Gyah, talk about bring a line-art to life, woman. The boy looks gorgeous. His hair is so wonderfully detailed, and I love the use of a snowy background since it contrasts to his dark skin.
I've always liked this piece due to detail, but you just made it look like a whole new artwork in itself.
